PDSA Vet Care Scheme

Although treatment to the sick and injured pets of eligible clients is free of charge under this scheme, we do recommend all owners to make a contribution where possible. PDSA's veterinary services are funded by public support, which is why you are encouraged to donate and allow its valuable service to continue. Please note that the scheme does not cover routine health care, including worming, flea treatment, vaccinations, nail clipping, routine dental care, or grooming. It also does not cover the cost of out of hours consultations, treatments, hospitalisation, or referral to specialists vets. Clients who have pets registered with us are suitable for the scheme, however, only one pet may be registered on it at any one time. Unfortunately, we can only accept a limited number of clients at any one time. We do hold a waiting list when the scheme is full.

Up-to-Date Vaccinations

Before we are able to register your pets onto the scheme, they must be up to date with their vaccinations, which have been carried out at your own expense. Registration may take a while to go through, and free treatments are only provided once it has been approved. PDSA are only able to register clients who receiving housing benefits or council tax benefits. Please be aware that council tax exemptions are not the same thing and do not qualify. There will be a £5 fee for a registration, which will last for six months. After this, renewal is only possibly if the required criteria are met.
